Meet Rajeah

There is separation between personal and spiritual development that simply shouldn't be there

Rajeah Murray

Minister, Entrepreneur, Writer, Artist, and Life Coach

My name is Rajeah Murray, and I'm from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Growing up, I moved around a lot and picked up both good and bad habits from different places. I had to adapt to street life quickly and became involved with gangs and drugs. I faced countless challenges and was in and out of jail.

Through firsthand experience, I saw the struggles that many people faced. Despite becoming a product of my environment and the system, I was determined not to stay that way.

There was a turning point in my life that changed everything. God, in His love and mercy, gave me a vision of what His Son did for me. That experience was so undeniable that it would have been harder for me not to believe from then on. It ignited a fire within me that still remains to this day.

I became relentless in pursuing the life I believed God wanted for me. Initially, I went straight to the church, thinking it was the right thing to do. I completed all the religious requirements and played every role I could in the church for years. However, I discovered that their man-made traditions and conditions hindered my development and progress in becoming more like Christ. Instead of being accepted, I was labeled an outcast and treated like a rebel because I stood up for truth and challenged the "System's" actions versus what I saw in the Bible.

As a rapper in the secular world, I believed it was only right to become a Christian rapper once I got saved. And it took off - I advanced in that area very quickly and even went on tour. I was always into art and writing growing up, which led me into the whole entertainment world.

Along this incredible journey, I discovered my passion for evangelism and making disciples. Sadly, this was something that I didn't see being done in the church, even though it's clearly instructed in the Bible.
I poured my heart and soul into helping as many people as I could and reaching the lost, only to realize that in doing so, I neglected my own spiritual and personal growth. This made me examine myself and start working on areas that I didn't even know needed improvement.

While I understood the spiritual side well, including deliverance, healing, and dealing with strongholds, prayer, and fasting, etc., I neglected the personal development side of things, such as emotional health, dealing with trauma, replacing bad habits with good ones, creating schedules, and establishing a daily routine, etc.

I began to notice a gap in spiritual and personal development within Christian culture that shouldn't exist. It led me to view seeking counseling as a worldly and un-Christian thing to do because we should rely solely on God to take care of us. I realized that much of what was being taught shifted responsibility onto God to handle everything while we passively suffered. This is not in line with what the Bible teaches.

When I began to bridge the gap between spiritual and personal development and relied on God for the strength to do what was necessary to grow, everything started to change.
1 Corinthians 3:9 teaches us that we are essentially co-laborers with Christ, working together in what God is doing. As we become who we are meant to be, we take action and do our part. I realized that I could create a life that exceeded everyone's expectations of me.

Loving, determined, and passionate are a few qualities that define me. I firmly believe in the power of the Spirit and our ability to overcome any obstacle. With God's help, I am currently developing my skills as a writer and content creator. My goal is to use my talents, abilities, and knowledge to inspire and encourage others to overcome challenges and become the person God created them to be.

Being able to express both my silly and serious sides, with my strengths and weaknesses, is part of who I am. To me, this represents the freedom to be oneself, and I have finally accepted that. I am no longer shaped by others' opinions of me; I can simply be myself.

I love to travel, be outdoors, and have adventures. I am spontaneous and enjoy spending time with friends and family, experiencing life to the fullest. I want to positively impact as many lives as possible and enjoy this life, as tomorrow is not promised.

Today, I stand as a living testimony of what God can do through someone who responds to Him in faith. I have achieved a lot and have helped many people, and this is just the beginning.
Something that truly sets me apart is that I never forget where I came from. I'm not afraid to go into prisons or onto the streets to meet people where they are.

I want to inspire others and show them that success is within their reach, regardless of their background. Anyone who is willing can grow and be used by God.

So, that's a glimpse into my life. I'm proof that anyone can rise above their circumstances. I strive for excellence and envision a future where I can make an even greater impact and leave a lasting legacy.
